Electropolishing is by far the best means of passivation. This process imparts no magnetic properties to the finished product, it merely removes microscopic surface area, leaving a bright shiny finish.

Various forms of passivation can  be used to remove material that could cause corrosion to stainless steel. This mildest form of passivation does not affect the appearance of the product, nor does it affect tolerances.

With pickle passivation, the surface finish is  greatly improved by removing metal and scale from the surface area, leaving a uniform satin finish.

The electropolishing and passivation processes adds life and durability to stainless steel products.
